The Oxford Advanced Materials Network (OxAMN) hosted a one-day event on the past Oct 2 at Corpus Christi College, bringing together researchers from across the University to explore collaborative opportunities in advanced materials. The gathering highlighted Oxford’s strengths across fields such as energy storage, sustainable manufacturing, biomedical technologies, and climate resilience—areas where interdisciplinary research is key to tackling global challenges. With the UK Government’s 10-year Strategy on Advanced Materials and Manufacturing as a backdrop, the event aimed to align Oxford’s expertise with national priorities and strengthen its leadership in materials innovation. The programme also featured the presentation of the Gabriella Chapman Award, recognising excellence and collaboration in advanced materials research.
